DAY 2
Lake Manyara National Park
You’ll be picked up from your hotel at 8 AM to begin a scenic journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full-day game drive. Despite its small size (205 square miles), the park boasts breathtaking scenery and is renowned for its lush acacia forests, giant figs, and mahogany trees, along with a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys.
Permanent residents include giraffes, elephants, impalas, and numerous buffaloes, while the lake is home to a significant number of hippos. Game drives along the lake offer stunning photo opportunities, featuring giraffes and buffaloes with the lake as a backdrop. Additional activities may include bike tours or boat excursions. In the afternoon, you'll return to the camp for dinner.
DAY 3
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater is renowned as one of the Wonders of the Natural World. Spanning 102 square miles and surrounded by 2,000-foot-high walls, it serves as a unique sanctuary, home to nearly every species of wildlife native to East Africa. This rare location is one of the few places on the continent where you can see the black rhino. Within the crater, you'll find a river, several swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, forests, and expansive open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants, which are among the largest in the world and possess impressive tusks. Ngorongoro Crater truly embodies the beauty of nature.
We will begin our day early with a transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once we descend to the crater floor, we’ll enjoy a remarkable morning of wildlife viewing in this breathtaking landscape. After an exciting afternoon game drive, we’ll ascend the crater and transfer to your accommodation.
DAY 4
Serengeti National park (Central)
After an early breakfast, we’ll set off for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Although the drive is long, it offers breathtaking scenery that will leave a lasting impression, especially for first-time visitors. As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, you’ll understand why its name means "endless plains" in the local language. Covering an expansive 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), the park features vast plains that seem to stretch endlessly, challenging your sense of distance.
The Serengeti is famous for the Great Migration, home to around 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various species of antelope. It’s also a prime location for spotting big cats and large predators, making it an ideal place to look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many iconic scenes, including the famous River Crossings, have been filmed in this incredible park.
DAY 5
Serengeti National Park (Central)
You’ll have a full day to explore Serengeti National Park, tailored to your preferences. Each day of the safari, your guide will discuss the best schedule for you, including game drive timings and wake-up times. For example, on this day, you could enjoy a morning game drive, return to camp for lunch and relaxation, then embark on an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you might opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the park.
DAY 6-7
Serengeti National Park (Following the Great Migration)
During these two remarkable days, you'll be driven through remote areas of the expansive Serengeti plains in search of the Great Migration. The locations you explore will depend on the time of year and may include the far reaches of the northern Serengeti near the Kenya border, the southern Ndutu area, or even the western part of the park.
DAY 8END OF YOUR SAFARI
Flying Out of The Serengeti
On this day, we recommend an early wake-up to enjoy a morning game drive, when the animals are most active, and to witness one of the most breathtaking sunrises you'll ever see. It's truly a beautiful experience. After the game drive, we'll return to the camp for a satisfying brunch. Following that, we’ll head to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha or to your next exciting destination, such as Zanzibar. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can choose to relax at the camp instead of joining the early morning game drive.
